Hope for Today Outreach (HTO) is a Christian faith-based and non-profit organization that exists to display the excellencies and glories of God in Christ Jesus by heralding the good news of God, and to empower the poor and the needy by meeting their material and spiritual needs. Our sustainability philosophy is rooted in the long-term development, care, and prosperity for the poor, their communities, and their environment.
In 2015, Dr. Celucien L. Joseph founded Hope for Today Outreach in Port St. Lucie, Florida to (1) respond to the dire needs of the poor, the marginalized, and the homeless in Haiti; (2) to help alleviate poverty among them; and (3) to bring the hope of the Gospel of Christ to the poor and the oppressed. Currently, we’re serving and reaching out to the people in the city of Cap-Haitian, and the rural areas in Northern Haiti.
We are committed to living out the Christian faith and demonstrating God’s love by serving the poor and the marginalized, caring for the needy and the orphans, and empowering men, women, and families to break the vicious cycles of physical and spiritual poverty through sound biblical teaching and discipleship, education, literacy training, mentoring and community-building programs, health care support, family care, and our self-sustaining programs. We offer opportunity to individuals and empower them to become effective leaders, role models, and agents of transformation in their respective communities.
The love and glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ is the vehicle that motivates us to “remember the poor” (Galatians 2:10), show acts of kindness and compassion, and to walk in solidarity with the hungry, the oppressed, and the disheartened. We help these individuals realize that they are created in God’s image and that they matter to God. By restoring their self-worth and human dignity, Hope for Today Outreach is committed to fostering a life of sustaining hope and holistic development.
